Who We Are

For over 20 years, Suzanne has worked exclusively with individuals and families as they plan for the future and take care of the present.  Focusing on multi-generational planning, planning for owners of closely held companies, and planning for individuals with special needs and the families who care for them, Suzanne recognizes that estate and personal planning should not be a one-size fits all proposition, and she takes an individualized, multi-disciplinary approach to addressing her clients’ unique circumstances, needs and goals. Also, being a business owner, wife, mother of five, and an active contributor to her local and world community, Suzanne knows how important it is that the planning process itself fits into her clients’ busy lives just as much as the comprehensive plans she helps them create.

Suzanne’s passion for families reaches beyond the services Assure provides to its clients. Over the years, Suzanne has been deeply involved in both local and international efforts and organizations that support women and children. And having a son with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Suzanne regularly contributes to causes that support individuals with special needs and their families.

Suzanne loves art, theater, traveling and reading, but she is equally happy hiking and spending time in the outdoors with family and friends.

As much an entrepreneur and business person as he is a lawyer, Michael has been working side by side with the owners of small and large companies for nearly 20 years to achieve their immediate and long term strategic goals in an ever-evolving risk and compliance environment.

Before starting Assure, Michael was a partner at a boutique business transaction and litigation firm that represented business owners and their enterprises both in and out of court.  As litigation counsel, Michael has represented his clients in both state and federal trial and appellate courts.  As a legal consultant, he has advised his clients and directed them through a wide variety of business transactions and deals, including business acquisitions, succession planning, mergers, fundraising, key employment matters, and buy-sale agreements.

When not at work, Michael loves traveling with his wife and children.  He is a huge outdoor enthusiast who is always up for trail running, mountain biking, surfing and fly fishing whenever he has time.
